Maybe you’ve been to therapy before. You’ve processed the past, learned the coping skills, and developed a pretty good understanding of yourself, your family, and how you got here. Maybe this is your first time, and you simply know something needs to change.
Either way, I don’t believe therapy should become a place where you endlessly narrate your life. I want us to use it.
We’ll start with whatever brings you in- anxiety, burnout, a relationship, grief, a transition, a crisis of confidence- and then look at the larger system around it. What patterns are operating outside your awareness? What are you assuming you have to live with? What’s genuinely outside your control? Where do you have more agency and flexibility than you realize?
I want to help you build psychological strength: to trust your instincts and your own judgment, become more flexible when life doesn’t cooperate, recognize your patterns while they’re happening, and develop a relationship with yourself that isn’t entirely dependent on your job, your relationships, your accomplishments, or the roles you play.
In other words, I want you self-anchored.
Therapy can help you integrate what you already know about yourself with what you may not be seeing yet and bring more of the unconscious into the light. Because the more clearly you can see what’s driving you, the more choice you have about what happens next.
It’s your life. I want you to know what you’re choosing.
My job is to help you outgrow therapy.
